Deutscher Humor

Wie gut kennen Sie den deutschen Humor? Hier sind ein Paar Beispiele. Der deutsche Humor ist manchmal merkwuerdig (=peculiar), und manchmal sehr mit der Sprache verbunden (= bound to the language). Er hat aber seine Charme.

...was Deutsche ueber ihre Heimatstaedte denken...

Leipzig

"Hamburg, meine Perle", mit Bilder der Hansestadt. Das ist das Klublied des HSVs...

Wacken, Schleswig Holstein - Rapper Jan Delay uns ein Dorf, wo Heavy Metal herrscht!

....und Bochum (Mit Text) - ein Klassiker aus dem Ruhrpott...

Bald geht's wieder los...

Dear German students!

School is nearly back and this site will be a resource you can use for free to deepen your knowledge of German and the people who speak it.

This is as good a time as any to know German as well as Germany ( not to mention Austria, Switzerland & loads of other places). The language is the most spoken first language of the EU, the language of its largest economy and one of our main trading partners (Germany).

If that's not enough, over a thousand years of history and culture show one thing: you don't understand Europe unless you understand Germany first.

So get cracking and see how easy it is to learn experience the exciting world your learning will open up for you.

Mit freundlichen Gruessen,

CBC German Department
